About

The countless hours I spent sketching, fishing, and hiking with my family as a child fostered a deep-rooted passion for wildlife and the great outdoors. I carried this passion with me as I pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and completed my post-graduate studies at the Exeter College of Art and Design in Exeter, England.

Following my formal education, I participated in numerous juried art exhibitions but over time turned to book illustration. I have since written and illustrated over seventy children’s books. In addition, I’ve worked as a decorative painter and muralist for over twenty-five years.

Since moving to the Treasure Valley and becoming an Idaho master naturalist, I’ve found new inspiration in the wilds of Idaho and beyond. Each painting signifies a reconnection with the wild places and creatures I value most and wish to see preserved and protected for all to enjoy.

I continue to explore new avenues for my art and writing and feel extremely lucky to love what I do and even luckier that I can share it with others.
